History
Lucky Construction Co. Established in 1986
We have been a family business for over 60 years
and served in the bay area for over 30 years.
Our company started with my grand father under his name Lu Ke in
Chinese. My father continued the family trade of fine woodwork and
carpentry and started Lucky Construction Co. in 1986. Over the many years,
we have extended our construction skills to hardwood flooring, granite
counter top fabrication, having our own custom cabinet
shop, and building custom homes.
My father and uncle started their cabinet shop to help serve our
customers who was over-paying for “off the shelf” cabinets purchased at
large warehouse home centers. They decided that we can build and
provide better cabinets built from real wood and offer better prices
than the overpriced MDF and particle board cabinets found at Home
remodeling centers.
I joined my fathers business after college finding that I too like
working with my hands. I became a licensed contractor and decided to
continue the family business as Lucky Interior Designs, Inc..
Comment from our Manager: Jackson
Growing up in the Silicon valley made me think I was going to be in
some computer field and not construction. Little did I know that many of
the computer skills I learned in college brought me back to continuing
our family business of construction and cabinetry.
I always had a interest in fixing and building things around the garage . The skills I learned in computer design and communication
somehow mixed in with my love to fix and build things.
After college, I started helping my father with his construction
company and began moving the company to use email and 3D modeling
for kitchen designs.
Since I started working at our company in 2002, I began to understand
why my father loves doing what he does. I can still remember the joy
of seeing my first 3D computer model going from lines on a
computer screen to an actual kitchen that our client was thrilled to
have. And the best part was being able to build the kitchen with our crew and seeing each piece come together.
So I also decided to became a licensed general contractor like my father and added design and project management to the wide range of construction services we offered.
