We just finished this remodel for a popular designer that we have worked with in the past. It was a lot of fun. I always enjoyed the contemporary look due to it's simplicity. The designer knew of a company that specializes in custom painted appliances. This allowed for a complete color scheme without the traditional stainless steel.
For the bath room remodel, we used a floating cabinet to make the space feel more spacious.
During the remodeling projects, I learned a lot from this designer and am very excited to work with her in more projects to come. Please feel free to contact us for more information on doing something similar for your home or to get in touch with this designer.
This is an update on the Palo Alto remodel. Everything went very well. We were busy finishing things up and had not had a chance to post final pictures since I went to the Shanghai Expo soon after. The house was completed and passed final inspection at the end of August. I am very proud of our crew who worked so hard to get everything ready and passed the final inspection in one shot.
I had some photos, but I wanted to share the ones the homeowners has so kindly shared with me done by their interior designer. You can get a look below:
It has been a great learning experience for me working on this home. The beautiful finished home was thanks to the hard work of our team members, the inspiration of the architect and homeowners, the professional experience of the designer and real estate agent.

I finally got a chance to upload some new pictures. As you can see the building has progressed quite a bit, we have the roof on and the inside is drywalled. I didn't get to some of the latest pictures, the house is actually stuccoed and sheet-rocked. The next step will require more of the artistic side, where the expertise of interior designer, Gail, will come into play in the next weeks as we do painting and the interior finishes.
I am really happy with our team members for getting everything ready and working extra hard to double check everything. We have passed each inspection on the 1st visit, including the recent All-Trades inspection. Getting through inspections on the 1st time is always important since we are on a tight schedule due the delays caused by the recent rainy season. And I am very proud of our crew since Palo Alto had implemented a very rigorous inspection system that started in 2009 where the check list is not a couple of pages, but a 1-1/2" thick book. Palo Alto is known for being on the front edge of building codes and requirements and I am very happy that my father allowed me the chance to manage this project. It definitely took a lot more work, but I think it was a wonderful experience.
Along with the many cabinet projects we are working on, we are currently building a second floor addition in Palo Alto.
As you can see in some of the pictures above, much of the foundation had to be redone and we are working on the roofing. Next step we will start the plumbing and electrical.
